Pain Consultants of East Tennessee has partnered with some of the most notable institutions in the nation to conduct groundbreaking research that is helping to change the way pain management is administered throughout the country.
In fact, Pain Consultants of East Tennessee collaborates with various institutions around the country for research in pain. We work with The University of Tennessee’s Psychology and Neuroscience departments, Wake Forest Medical School, and many other regional and national institutions.[/dt_sc_one_half]

The PCET Research Center administers clinical trials for various painful conditions. We also administer drug trials and device trials for different pain disorders. Would you like to help? You may receive financial compensation for your time and travel if you qualify to participate in one of our many studies.

Are you 18 years or older and suffer from osteoarthritis pain of the knee or hip? If so, you may qualify for our research study?

Qualified study volunteers will receive at no cost: Investigational study medication for up to 56 weeks; study-related care from a local study physician. Reimbursement may be provided for travel and other expenses related to participation. Health insurance and referrals aren’t required to participate.

[dt_sc_toggle_framed title=”Post Herpetic Neuralgia (PHN) Study”]
ShinglesAre you experiencing post herpetic neuralgia, or PHN? There’s a good chance that if you’ve recently had the medical condition known as shingles, you also developed PHN in the same location on your body. For most people, PHN pan can be treated with medication and will go away after a few months. But for many others, the pain continues.

If you have been diagnosed with post herpetic neuralgia that has lasted more than six months, we would like to speak with you about a medical research study evaluating an investigational topical ointment that’s applied to the area of the PHN pain.

To learn more about this study, please complete the form to the right. Patients who qualify will receive study-related visits, tests, and medication at no cost. Reimbursement for study-related time and travel may be provided if needed.

Low Back PainIf you’re at least 18 years old and have suffered from chronic low back pain for at least 3 months, you may qualify for our research study.
