Sean Blanton, MHS, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Assistant at Pain Consultants of East Tennessee. He joined the practice in January 2023, bringing more than a decade of clinical experience to the PCET team.

Sean began his medical career in critical care nursing, working in high-acuity surgical trauma units before transitioning into neurosurgery. Over the next nine years, he developed extensive experience with complex neurological conditions, surgical anatomy, and patient care. Today, he applies that background to the evaluation and treatment of patients living with complex and chronic pain conditions.

Sean is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and is an active member of the Tennessee Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA). He is committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

A Knoxville resident, Sean enjoys spending time outdoors and pursuing hands-on hobbies outside the clinic. His interests include hiking in the Great Smoky Mountains, woodworking, precision watchmaking, and backyard beekeeping.
