Amy Knapp, PT, DPT, CEAS

Amy Knapp PT, DPT, CEAS graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1997 with a BA in psychology and completed her doctorate in physical therapy with honors at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga in 2004.

Amy has enjoyed working in different settings including acute care, skilled nursing facility, home health, and outpatient ortho/neuro.

Her certifications include LSVT for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS).  In addition, in the fall of 2023 Amy will have completed the two-year certification to become a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) instructor.

Amy enjoys the opportunity to give one -on- one patient care. She feels very fortunate to combine her physical therapy experience with mind-body practices to help patients achieve their goals at Pain Consultants of East Tennessee.

When not at work, Amy enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time with her husband and two sons.
