Pain Consultants of East Tennessee understands that there is a lot of concern about the new COVID-19 or coronavirus transmission. Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is following guidelines from the CDC, Tennessee Department of Health, and Knox County Health Department regarding recommendations for healthcare providers.
This is an evolving situation and Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is committed to following the updates and making adjustments to our processes as indicated.
Please be assured that Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is considered a LOW RISK practice for exposure to COVID-19.
That being said, Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is limiting admission to our practice to our main entrance to better monitor for patient safety.
Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is also limiting people who come through our practice to patients (and others needed for patient safety, communication and/or POA). We ask all others wait in their vehicles.
To protect our patients and staff, Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is triaging patients before they come to our practice. Triaging starts with confirmation of appointments. If a patient reports symptoms, they will be triaged a 2nd time by the practice prior to their visit (the afternoon before their visit). An additional triage assessment will be done prior to the patient’s visit before the patient enters the building. If a patient requires assistance in the office, the family member with the patient will also be triaged.
Pain Consultants of East Tennessee wants to assure patients that we will continue their treatment during this stressful time. We will make appropriate assessments and then providers will be consulted to make a decision on how to best treat you.
Thank you for your patience with these changes. We will continue to update you.
