Pain Consultants of East Tennessee recently welcomed 35 attendees to an educational event focused on chronic low back pain and ReActiv8 Restorative Neurostimulation, a treatment option designed for certain patients who have not found lasting relief through more traditional approaches.

The event featured Drs. Choo, Schott, and Smith, who discussed chronic low back pain, common contributing factors, and why some patients continue to experience pain even after trying treatments such as medication, physical therapy, or injections.

During the presentation, the physicians explained how ReActiv8 works by helping restore strength, control, and stability in the muscles that support the lower back. For many people living with chronic low back pain, this type of education can be an important step in better understanding why pain may persist and what treatment options may be worth discussing with a care team.

A highlight of the evening was hearing from patient speaker Rachel Wilson, who shared her personal experience with ReActiv8. Her story gave attendees a firsthand perspective on the treatment process and the impact chronic low back pain can have on everyday life.

Following the presentation, attendees had the opportunity to speak with the physicians and ask questions in a more personal setting. This open conversation gave patients and families a chance to better understand whether ReActiv8 may be appropriate to discuss as part of their own care journey.

For those who were unable to attend the in-person event, or who would like to learn more about this topic, Pain Consultants of East Tennessee also hosted a related ReActiv8 educational webinar in March.

You can watch that webinar below to hear more about chronic low back pain, how ReActiv8 works, and what patients may want to discuss with their care team.

Pain Consultants of East Tennessee is grateful to everyone who attended and participated in the in-person event. The strong turnout reflects the ongoing need for patient education around chronic low back pain and the importance of helping people understand the full range of treatment options that may be available.
