Our Practice – What to Expect

We understand the effect that chronic back and neck pain can have on you and your family. Chronic pain often brings stress, uncertainty and a host of questions. It is normal to feel overwhelmed at first — wondering what to expect from your diagnosis and treatment.

At PCET, we are dedicated to serving you. We do everything we can to put you and your family at ease and help you through this process. We work as a team with your physician to provide you with the best treatment options and answer all of your questions along the way.

Your First Visit

At your initial evaluation, our health professionals will perform a thorough assessment and develop a plan for your care. This may include ordering diagnostic testing if indicated, along with ordering precision injections.  This plan will be shared with your referring physician as well as the health care team assembled to address your needs. As requested by your referring physician, additional treatment will be provided and the physician and health care team will evaluate your progress.

Throughout the entire treatment process Pain Consultants of East Tennessee will communicate your progress to your referring physician. Watch the video to the right for a walkthrough of what you can expect during your first visit to our practice.

Your Follow Up Visit

Your follow up visit to our practice will include consultation by a nurse practitioner and one of our physicians.

Based on your physical examination, pain complaints, records, and treatment responses, your physician will work with you to develop a personal treatment plan. Watch the video to the right for a full walkthrough of what to expect during your follow up visit.
